Almost Home, Inc. operates one of only three Family Emergency Shelters in all of Adams County. Our family shelter can accommodate up to six families at a time.
During their stay in our shelter, families work with our Program Director to establish goals and work towards reestablishing their self-sufficiency. We try to establish a life for the client's in our shelter that is as close to living in their own home as much as possible. All families in the shelter are responsible for purchasing their own food, cooking their meals, doing their laundry, etc. and are assigned daily and weekly chores/tasks to help keep the shelter safe and clean for all residents.
In 2019 we provided a total of 7632 nights of safe and warm shelter to those families that were homeless in our community.
