Almost Home is seeking a full-time Bilingual Intake Assistant to join our team. Almost Home's mission is to promote self-sufficiency and provide assistance to those experiencing housing instability. Almost Home’s goal is to prevent homelessness and provide temporary and permanently affordable housing for those who are in need of assistance.

SCOPE: The Intake Assistant is responsible for conducting phone intake assessments and triaging client calls and walk ins to Almost Home. The Intake Assistant will also provide general office support for our Brighton location and shelter operations.

Essential Functions include:

  • Responsible for assessing the needs of clients calling with challenges related to housing insecurity and linking them with internal and external resources in the community.

  • Compile and review data to meet internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Composing program-related documents and narratives.

  • Provide operation support, including meeting prep, including materials development, food planning, etc., as directed.

  • Coordinate programmatic logistics, operations, and reporting requirements for all Almost Home programs and services.

  • Client data entry as required to meet contract expectations.

  • Compose written materials and maintain spreadsheets in support of on-going program operations and logistics.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree with emphasis in administrative related area or equivalent relevant experience required.

  • One year of clerical or administrative experience required.

  • Bilingual required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good organizational skills.

  • Experience in working with computers, knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with databases.

  • Experience with high call volumes.

Salary: $16.31 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday - 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
