6th Annual Spring Out
of Homelessness Gala
The 6th Annual Spring Out of Homelessness Gala was held last Friday, May 13th at Heritage Todd Creek Golf Club in Thornton. The event was a huge success and raised over $43,000. The evening included live entertainment, drinks, dinner, and both silent & live auctions.
Almost Home was gifted wonderful items to auction off, such as an autographed Peyton Manning football donated by United Power, two round-trip airline tickets from Southwest Airlines, an interior and exterior car detail from Johnson Auto Plaza, and a beautiful print canvas donated by local Brighton Police Officer/Custom Photographer, John Grace. The silent & live auctions raised over $21,000, and were enjoyed by guests of the event.
The event’s guest speaker was Sandra Vilander, a former client of Almost Home who just in the past several weeks was able to find a place of her own to call home thanks to the assistance of Almost Home, Inc. A memorable moment of the evening was when Laura Whitmore was the high bidder on a quilt during the live auction and presented the quilt to Sandra Vilander’s daughter, Koral as a gift.
