Housing Navigator – Westminster Public Schools

The Housing Navigator provides essential services to students and their families experiencing homelessness in Westminster Public Schools and leads efforts to coordinate family sheltering in the district. The Housing Navigator will provide case management to McKinney-Vento households with a focus on coordinating sheltering services at partner hotels and providing re-housing assistance.

Next Step Coordinator

The Next Step Coordinator (NSC) will work directly with Adams County Public School Districts to identify, assess an enroll students and their families into the Next Step Program. The NSC carries a small caseload of families in scattered site units within the community and coordinates wraparound services – such as employment support, financial education, access to nutritious food, afterschool programs, and mental/behavioral health treatment - throughout the clients’ transition to permanent housing, and up to 6 months following homelessness diversion.  In addition to these services, the NSC will provide the re-housing support and case management to prevent identified households from becoming homeless and to those that are residing in the Almost Home, Inc.’s Emergency Shelter.

Trauma Informed Care Consultant 
The Trauma Informed Consultant (TIC) will work directly with the Employee Development and Wellbeing Committee as well as the Leadership Team to update Almost Home’s policies and procedures to include a Trauma Informed Approach. This position will be contracted work, totaling 60 hours with completion within three months of starting.

​

Throughout the course of the position, the TIC will enhance Almost Home’s agency wide policies and procedures as well as program-based policies and procedures. The TIC will review policies and procedures, update the language to focus on a Trauma Informed Approach, present any changes to the Employee Development and Wellbeing Committee and Leadership Team, and will then support the implementation the approved changes.
