Rachel Monroe Appointed Interim Executive Director

Almost Home is proud to announce the appointment of Rachel Monroe as Interim Executive Director.

Rachel joined Almost Home in April 2016 as our first Development Director for the organization. She is a graduate of Metro State College with a degree in Nonprofit Management and a minor in Human Services. Rachel comes to Almost Home with nearly two decades of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Rachel began her nonprofit career as a Membership Representative at Rocky Mountain PBS, Channel 6 helping to organize and implement the telethons that raise funds for the public television station. Her growing nonprofit experience led her to the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association where she worked as the Development & Membership Manager for nearly fifteen years. Prior to coming to Almost Home, Rachel served as the Executive Director of the Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce where she successfully doubled their membership in the first year. She also created working relationships with Fort Lupton & Brighton elected officials, business owners and community members that are beneficial to Almost Home. "We are so lucky to have such an experienced professional be able to step in to this position. She has already shown herself to be a great asset to Almost Home and will make sure that we continue to provide the same compassionate care to our clients and accountability to our funders," said Board President, Peggy Jarrett. Rachel is a life-long resident of the Brighton community, where she resides with her family. Outside of Almost Home, you can usually find Rachel at the baseball fields, cheering on her son. If not at the fields, Rachel enjoys spending her free time listening to live music or spending quality time with her friends. Rachel is excited for the opportunity to lead Almost Home and stated, “As a life-long resident of Brighton, I had always known about and admired Almost Home and the work they do to help the most vulnerable in our community so when the opportunity presented itself to join on as the Development Director, I was beyond thrilled. I am grateful for the opportunity to step in as the Interim Executive Director and help lead the organization through this transition period.” Thank You,
