Holiday Giving Tree Program Provides 300 Gifts to Children in Need
Thank you to those in the community that stepped up to help make the seasons brighter for the children we serve. With your generous assistance, we provided nearly 300 gifts to the children in our Family Emergency Shelter and in our Supportive Housing Programs.
It was a day filled with smiles as the families came into our office to get their wrapped gifts and were thrilled to learn they could also select a couple additional gifts provided by our friends at the Orchard Church and the Brighton Police Department.
In addition, they were treated to holiday cookies and beverages from the amazing folks at Dick's Sporting Goods, who also provided gift bags for the parents. The City of Brighton also provided the parents with a $25 gift certificate to purchase a holiday meal.
Upon exiting our building they had one last stop, a visit with Elsie the Little Free Mobile Library provided by our friend Melissa Rippy, Allstate Insurance. Each child and parent got to select a free book of their choice.
It truly was a day full of joy and expressed gratitude from our client families. Thank you for making this special day happen, we could not do it with you!
